Torticollis & Infant Head Shape
Gentle, in-home care for babies with neck tightness and flat or uneven head shape, across Edmonton and Calgary.
What It Is
Torticollis is tightness in a baby's neck muscles that makes them prefer turning or tilting their head one way. It often shows up alongside a flat or uneven head shape (plagiocephaly), because a baby who looks mostly one direction tends to rest on the same spot.
Signs Parents Notice
A consistent head tilt or turn preference, difficulty turning to one side, a flat spot developing on the head, or a preferred feeding side.
How In-Home Physiotherapy Helps
We assess your baby's neck movement, head shape, and development, then coach you through gentle positioning, stretches, tummy time, and play-based movement that fit into your day. Because we're in your home, we set it up around your actual routines and space.
Gentle, Attentive Care for Your Baby
Torticollis and infant head shape are a primary focus of our practice — a large part of what we do every week, and we've supported babies and families through it for many years. We also share what we've learned through education nights and talks with other healthcare providers. From your very first visit, we take the time to explain what's happening, answer every question, and show you exactly how to help your little one at home — so you feel confident, reassured, and in good hands.
What to Expect
An initial assessment of about 75 minutes, one-on-one, with a clear home program you can start right away — plus follow-ups as your baby grows.
Direct billing through TELUS eClaims — Sun Life, Green Shield, and Alberta Blue Cross.
