FSCD Funding
FSCD Funding for Pediatric Physiotherapy
If your child has (or is applying for) Family Support for Children with Disabilities funding, here's how it can work with in-home physiotherapy at Stork.
What Is FSCD
Family Support for Children with Disabilities (FSCD) is an Alberta government program that supports families raising a child with a disability or developmental need. Through an agreement with an FSCD worker, families can access funding and services — including physiotherapy — to help their child develop and take part in everyday life.
What It Covers
FSCD agreements can include therapy through contract types such as:
- Behaviour and Developmental Support — a set number of licensed-therapist hours over a defined period, which can include physiotherapy.
- Specialized Services — longer-term funding for children who need several licensed therapists (for example physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and speech-language pathology).
What's included depends on your child's needs and your individual FSCD agreement.
Using FSCD with Stork
We work with FSCD families in both Edmonton and Calgary. If your child has an FSCD agreement that includes physiotherapy, Stork can provide those visits in your home and coordinate with your FSCD plan — keeping clear records and communicating with your team so the funding is used well.
