Gross Motor Delays
In-home support to help your baby or child build the strength and coordination behind key movement milestones.
What It Is
Gross motor skills are the big movements — rolling, sitting, crawling, standing, and walking. When these take longer than expected, it can be a sign your child needs a little extra support to build strength, coordination, and confidence.
Signs Parents Notice
Not meeting movement milestones on time, favouring one side, skipping crawling, low or stiff muscle tone, or frustration with movement.
How In-Home Physiotherapy Helps
We assess how your child moves, find what's holding a milestone back, and turn it into play-based activities you can weave into everyday life. Working in your home means we use your child's own space, toys, and routines — where they're most comfortable.
A Focus of Our Practice
Supporting babies and children through motor development is a large part of what we do every week, and our physiotherapists have worked with these little ones for many years. We also share what we've learned through education nights and talks with other healthcare providers.
What to Expect
An assessment of about 75 minutes, one-on-one, and a home program you can start right away — plus follow-ups as your child grows.
Direct billing through TELUS eClaims — Sun Life, Green Shield, and Alberta Blue Cross.
